PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies to makeitconscious.com (the “Website”), owned and operated by Make it Conscious, a brand owned by Max Chegwyn (“we”, “us”, “our”). It explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
This policy reflects our commitment to responsible data handling in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the principles of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 where relevant. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

2. Data We Collect and Why
2.1 Personality Dynamics Assessment (PDA)
When you complete the Personality Dynamics Assessment, we collect your name, email address, and your full survey responses. This data is used to generate your personalised results and to improve the assessment over time. We also carry out aggregated analysis of response patterns across all submissions — for example, understanding how different personality types distribute across our audience. This analysis does not involve using or referencing individual names or contact details. No individual results are ever shared with third parties or used to identify you personally.
When you complete the assessment and view your results, and if you have consented to analytics cookies, a small identifier linked to your personality type is stored in your browser for 180 days. This allows us to understand in general terms how people of different types explore the site after taking the assessment — for instance, which content they read or which products they view. The identifier reveals only your personality type category, not your name, email, or any other personal detail. You can remove it at any time by clearing your cookies or adjusting your cookie preferences. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
The legal basis for processing your assessment data is our legitimate interest in delivering and improving the assessment, and your consent given at the point of submission.
2.2 Birth Chart Reports
When you order a birth chart report, we collect your name, email address, and date of birth. Date of birth is required to produce the report. You may optionally provide your time and location of birth — where provided, these may materially affect the result. This data is processed on the basis of contractual necessity (to fulfil your order). It is not used for marketing or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to process payment (see section 2.4).
2.3 General Purchases and Orders
When you make a purchase through the Website, we collect your name, email address, and order details. This data is used to fulfil your order and to maintain our transaction records. The legal basis is contractual necessity.
2.4 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our systems. Stripe operates as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy and security obligations. For details of how Stripe handles your data, please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
2.5 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Website — for example, which pages are visited and how long visitors stay. GA4 uses cookies to collect this information anonymously. If you have consented to analytics cookies, a personality-type identifier may also be set on PDA results pages (see section 2.1), allowing us to analyse anonymised browsing behaviour by personality type. Analytics cookies are non-essential and are only set after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences. For full details of the cookies used, please see our Cookie Policy.
2.6 Contact and Enquiries
If you contact us by email, we will retain your name, email address, and the content of your message in order to respond to your enquiry. This data is not used for marketing without your explicit consent.
3. Cookies
The Website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically. Non-essential cookies (including analytics cookies) are only set after you give your consent. Full details of the cookies used on this Website, their purpose, and their lifespan are set out in our Cookie Policy.
4. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Order and purchase records are retained in line with applicable accounting and tax obligations. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time — see section 6.
5. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties except in the following circumstances:
- Payment processing: Stripe receives the data necessary to process your transaction
- Analytics: Google Analytics receives anonymised usage data where you have consented to analytics cookies
- Legal obligation: we may disclose data if required to do so by law
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights in relation to your personal data under applicable data protection law. These may include the right to access the data we hold about you, the right to have inaccurate data corrected, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to restrict or object to certain processing, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our systems.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
