WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS THIS SHADOW WORK?
Yes. The work addresses both inner and outer shadow — inner shadow being what is difficult to confront in yourself and excluded from your self-image; outer shadow work being concerned with coming to terms with harm done by others, both to yourself and to others. Most approaches collapse this distinction.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M READY FOR THIS WORK?
If you have done a fair amount on your own and have the sense there is further to go, that is usually enough. Prior therapy, reading, or your own active imagination practice is useful context, not a requirement. The Perspectives call is there to establish whether this is the right fit.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE COACHING SESSIONS?
Each session is one-to-one, online, and follows the material that is live for you at the time. The work is conducted under the MiC Method and draws on active imagination practice, the Shadow Map, and your psychological blueprints, adapted to what your situation requires. Sessions are not structured around a fixed curriculum. They go where the work needs to go.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THERAPY?
Therapy works toward diagnosis and symptom relief. This works toward individuation: becoming more fully what you already are, as a distinct individual, neither dissolved into the world nor severed from it. Therapeutic insights often emerge, but they are not the organising aim. This is not a substitute for therapy where that is genuinely what someone needs.
WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS BETWEEN SESSIONS?
The programme includes access to the MiC AI coaching assistant, trained on the full body of Max’s work and available between sessions for reflection, practice support, and follow-up on session material. Email support is also available.
DO I NEED ANY PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF JUNG OR PSYCHOLOGY?
No. Some clients arrive well read in Jungian psychology and some do not. The work meets you where you are.
WHAT KIND OF RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
Clients describe naming dynamics that had shaped their experience for years without ever being visible to them. Patterns shifting that persisted through previous therapy. A developing capacity to read their own inner material rather than being at its mercy.
