TEN DAY MEDITATION SERIES

Meditation can be thought of as a “dedicated training session for the mind,” whereby we dedicate ourselves entirely to the task of ‘making the unconscious conscious.’

During meditation we are practicing the entire spiritual path all in one moment – from taking responsibility for our mind, cultivating wholesome intentions, all the way through to mindfulness – present moment awareness. Meditation straightens out the mind by allowing unconscious content, such as thoughts and feelings, to arise in consciousness, where they can be seen, dealt with skilfully and let go of. As we work to let go of the influence of the unconscious on our daily decisions, we experience profound both immediate and long-lasting benefits to the mind. 

The aim of this ten day series is to give you a firm grounding in the basics of meditation, for you to take away and incorporate into your own practice as needed.

During this programme we will cover the basics of Mindfulness Meditation – the primary form of meditation recommended as part of the Individuation process. We will also look at two supplementary styles of meditation – Chakra Meditation and Loving Kindness Meditation. Along the way I will also provide several tips for making the most of your practice, including ways to deal with resistance, the “five hindrances,” how to approach effort and how to structure your meditation practice.

Whether you are a complete beginner to meditation or highly-experienced, the aim of this programme is to give you plenty of useful tips and techniques that you can take away to develop your own practice in whatever way you need.
